The Pump Station- Your New Fav. Hang Out

www.pumpstation.com

I know. I know. I talk about the Pump Station constantly. But it's a really special place and you should all go check it out as soon as possible. My advice is to go to the Pump Station at least a couple of times before you have the baby. Take a baby CPR class or a lactation class there so that you can get familiar with your commute, the parking lot (which is admittedly not very nice) and the staff (which is fabulous). If you've already had your baby and you haven't been yet, RUN DON'T WALK!

There are two locations. The closest location is in Hollywood on the south east corner of Vine and Fountain. The other is in Santa Monica.

The first couple of months as a mom are so hard. Breast feeding is the most difficult part of that. 40-70% of women experience the baby blues. 10-20% of women experience PPD. The two best thing you can do for depression is talk and exercise. So, get out of the house and take a walk around the block. When you're ready, take a walk around the lake. And go hang out at the Pump Station where you can talk with other mom's about the challenges of breast feeding and new motherhood.
